Egor Orudzhev scored his first victory of the season in World Series Formula V8 3.5 by winning Race 1 at Motorland Aragon (Spain), taking advantage of another poor start from Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) who again started from pole. The Brazilian finally retired following contact with Konstantin Tereschenko (Teo Martin Motorsport).
SMP Racing by AVF achieved a double with Matevos Isaakyan who took 2nd place by finishing 13 seconds behind his compatriot after making a good comeback and taking advantage of the battles in the peloton.
Alfonso Celis Jr (Fortec Motorsports) was able to save the last step of the podium after taking the lead over Roy Nissany (RP Motorsport). René Binder (Lotus) completed the top five after seeing his best time canceled in qualifying this morning for exceeding track limits.
Konstantin Tereschenko was able to move up to 6th place ahead of RP Motorsport drivers Yu Kanamaru and Damiano Fioravanti. Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsports) and Giuseppe Cipriani (Il Barone Rampante) complete the top ten.
