Clio Ice Trophy – Darmezin wins at Pas de la Casa, Bouet keeps the lead

Lucas Darmzein scored the first victory of his career in the Clio Ice Trophy. Winner of one of the finals, David Bouet still leads the championship.

Clio Ice Trophy – Darmezin wins at Pas de la Casa, Bouet keeps the lead

The Clio Rally5s of the WRM by Chanoine Motorsport / SRD Racing team were in good form this Saturday near Pas de la Casa (Andorra) where the the 2e round of the 2023 season of the Clio Ice Trophy.

The domination of WRM by Chanoine Motorsport / SRD Racing was such that Lucas Darmezin and David Bouet won the two finals of the day on the Andorran track. Although they were unable to secure the two pole positions at stake, the teammates still managed to impose their law in the final.

In Final A, Lucas Darmezin took advantage of the poor start of pole sitter Enzo Lucotte to take the lead ahead of Alex Español. Without trembling, the WRM by Chanoine Motorsport / SRD Racing driver headed straight towards his first victory in the Clio Ice Trophy with a 6-second lead. David Bouet, for his part, dominated Final B head and shoulders. Also taking advantage of Dylan Dufas' poor start from pole position, the French Junior champion of Rallycross in 2021 was never worried by Baptiste Panissié who crossed the line 16 seconds behind the winner.

In the general classification of this 2e round, it is Lucas Darmezin who pockets the greatest number of points with 38, two more than David Bouet. The latter still retains the lead in the championship with 70 points relegating his runner-up Dylan Dufas to 6 lengths.
