Author of the best time in the first special of the morning, Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) subsequently opted for a "more cautious" pace which allows him to maintain a nice safety margin before setting off into the last loop. Focused on his objective, Bonato is only a few kilometers away from a first success on the Côte d'Azur.

Less than 10 seconds behind Quentin Giordano, Hugo Margaillan (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) is well placed in ambush. Clearly comfortable with the settings chosen, Margaillan is on track to achieve his best performance of the season.

In the Top 5, Cédric Robert (A110 Rally-Team Bonneton HDG) is still struggling to find the right compromise to limit the rise in temperature of his rear tires. The Stéphanois must now be wary of the return of Julien Saunier (A110 Rally-CHL Sport Auto), completely freed after having solved his ABS problems during morning service.

In the Clio Trophy, the fight is still intense between Tom Pieri (Clio Rally5) and Thomas Chauffray (Clio Rally5). The two drivers are within 6 seconds. The last loop will be decisive.
