Big winner of the Rally Terre de Langres in July, Jean-Marie Cuoq returns to the French Terrestrial Rally Championship during the event based in Séverac le Château. Cuoq abandons his Peugeot 307WRC for a Peugeot 206WRC but remains the big favorite.
To obtain the title of French Land Rally Champion, the points will be expensive. Enter Dominique Bruyneel (Subaru Impreza WRC), winner of Diois, Paul Chieusse (Peugeot 206WRC), winner in the Causses, and Laurent Carbonaro (Ford Focus RS WRC), winner of Auxerrois, part of the decision could be made in Aveyron on Saturday and Sunday.
With a joker already used by the three drivers, each point taken will be counted. The Belgian Bruyneel has an advantage with nine points over Chieusse and fourteen over Carbonaro but the slightest mistake can allow his rivals to get closer.
During the previous edition, Dominique Bruyneel won ahead of Paul Chieusse. A good omen for the driver of the Subaru Impreza WRC before heading to Séverac le Château.
Ten special events are on the program for this 26th edition. The championship will end on November 14 and 15 in Vaucluse.
