Kimi: first success in C4 WRC

Kimi Raikkönen, if he had the best car on the field of Rally Vosgien, was able to concentrate more on learning to drive on French asphalt than on winning. But, after six specials and almost 100 km covered, the Finn still achieved his first rally success, at the wheel of the Citroën C4. WRC (see video). At the end of the event, Iceman had more than one reason to be satisfied with this weekend spent in eastern France, before returning to French roads in the WRC.

« It was good preparation for the Rallye de France, Kimi comments. From what I've heard, the roads in this rally were pretty representative of what we'll see in the next round of the WRC, so I'm pretty happy. Above all, it?s very pleasant to drive on asphalt again, and it?s also useful. »

Having difficulty during gravel rallies, Kimi Räikkönen is always more comfortable when it comes to driving on asphalt, a surface he knows better as a former circuit driver. It is also on this surface that he achieved his first WRC scratch, during the last special of the Rally Germany.
