With the coronavirus pandemic, all national and international motorsport was put on hold, with the amateur component in rally, the sudden suspension of the Coupe de France events.
During the break, the FFSA quickly indicated that the 2020 final would not be contested on its scheduled dates, but postponed to 2021, still on a course designed around Châteauroux.
The last Steering Committee on July 6 ratified the sporting regulations for this particular 2020-2021 edition, including the end date for taking into account the results for qualification for the final.
All rallies contested between September 9, 2019 and September 12, 2021 will therefore count for the establishment of the different rankings in the committees, conditioning the selection for the Berry meeting.
Note that the provision indicating that “in the event that a rally appears twice on the calendar in the same qualifying period, the allocation or not of points from the second organization will be studied by the Coupe de France Commission and the FFSA Steering Committee” no longer appears in the regulations.
The resumption of the Coupe de France must take place on the weekend of August 1 and 2, notably with Gap Racing, Trièves and Fourmies en Avesnois.
