Antibes Rally postponed due to coronavirus

If you Rally du Touquet was able to open the 2020 season of the French Asphalt Rally Championship in mid-March, the following two events, the Lyon-Charbonnières and now the Antibes Rally, suffered the harsh reality of the coronavirus pandemic.

The South-East of France round has been postponed to a later date due to the spread of the virus raging around the world.

“After various discussions with state services, our administrations, our federal authorities, certain partners and competitors, it seemed more serious and responsible to us to postpone the date of our rally which was to take place from May 15 to 17, 2020 on the Riviera, indicates Gilbert Giraud, president of ASA Antibes.

We are sad about it, of course, but there is nothing more important than the health and safety of the population. Stay at home, be careful and take into consideration all the measures imposed on us.

Now we continue to work individually from home so that this race can still take place in the second half of the year. We will communicate very soon the exact date which will have been validated. »
