Some will remember this rally as being that of the first scratch victory of the Sébastien duo Loeb-Daniel Elena in 1998. The rally organized by the Val d'Agout team chaired by Michel Benazech on the roads of Sidobre continued its journey to reach its 40th this yearrd edition.

“Sébastien’s victory is a great source of pride,” assures Michel Benazech. “In 1998, the Tarn event was included in the Citroën challenge calendar and Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena raced in a Saxo Kit Car.” The roads of southern Tarn particularly pleased them since the two champions won the event again the following year in 1999.

A great rally celebration is expected, the record holder for victory on this rally (6 successes!) Jean-Michel Da Cunha having withdrawn a few days before the rally, the favorite will undoubtedly be Jordan Berfa, a last minute entrant. The young Mazamétain already has 2 successes in the event.
