Nicolas Ciamin ends on a good note

Winner of the first round of the season on the banks of the Channel, Nicolas Ciamin went for a second consecutive victory at the Rallye du Var after holding off Yoann Bonato at the start of the event.

Although the main titles had already been awarded, the Rally du Var retained its gala appearance at the end of the season. Freshly crowned champion of France since the Critérium des Cévennes, Quentin Giordano had to withdraw. The Lorraine pilot stayed alongside his partner to welcome a happy event. Titled in two-wheel drive, Cédric Robert had left the seat of his Alpine A110 to move into that of a C3 Rally2, while Stéphane Sarrazin joined the entry list with a Polo GTI R5 from his team.

The weather conditions were ideal. All the competitors intended to shine one last time this season. The only rally on the calendar with three stages on the program, the Var is a marathon for men. Friday's condensed course allowed the drivers to get their bearings. But no need for an observation round for Yoann Bonato and Nicolas Ciamin. Visibly, the two drivers showed a strong pace from the first meters.
