Yoann Bonato increased his lead at the Rallye du Var in the second stage. Behind Stéphane Sarrazin, Bryan Bouffier is fighting to stay on the provisional podium.

Yoann Bonato swims at the Rallye du Var

Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) consolidated his lead in the Rally du Var. Le double champion de France des Rallyes en titre a remporté les 4 première spéciales de la journée et a conclu l’étape (raccourcie d’une spéciale en raison de certains spectateurs mal placés) avec une avance de 41 secondes sur Stéphane Sarrazin (Hyundai i20 R5).

Bryan Bouffier (Hyundai i20 R5) retains his place on the provisional podium but remains threatened by several competitors. Laurent Pellier (Citroën C3 R5) is only one second behind to climb into the top three while Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5) has moved up to 5th place ahead of Quentin Gilbert (Skoda Fabia R5) after having been the most fast at the end of the stage.

William Wagner (Ford Fiesta R5), Anthony Fotia (Citroën C3 R5), Mathieu Arzeno (Skoda Fabia R5) and Pierre Roché (Skoda Fabia R5) complete the Top 10. Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (Skoda) was slowed down by a puncture while that he was 8th. In the same special, Adrien fourmaux (Ford) was the victim of a road exit while he was in 5th position.

Cédric Robert continues to dominate the R3 category on his Renault Clio RS while Hugo Margaillan remains at the head of the 208 Rally Cup.

The final stage of the Rallye du Var will be contested this Sunday with three more stages on the program.
