Carlos Sainz voted best WRC driver by fans

During this period of confinement, polls and other votes are flourishing on the internet. THE WRC had decided to organize a sort of knockout World Cup between its different world champions, to determine who would be elected best WRC driver.

Fans therefore had to vote on each duel to advance their favorite driver to the grand final. A final round which saw Sébastien Loeb et Carlos Sainz, the Spaniard ultimately emerging victorious after counting the 80 votes in the final, 300 votes having been recorded throughout the competition.

“I don't need to tell you how much I respect Sébastien Loeb and how much he deserves to be the best, admits the double Spanish world champion. But I must say that not only he and all world champions deserve this recognition. But someone has to win and, in this case, it's me.

I gave everything to rally. Rallying has been my life, rallying has been my dream and today the discipline and the whole rallying family give me a big smile and this great recognition. »
