A few years after Éric Camilli, another young French talent joins the British house M-Sport Ford. Adrien fourmaux will drive a Ford Fiesta MkII R5 as part of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in WRC 2 class in 2020.

The Tricolore, winner of the selection Rally Young people in 2016, will be supported by his faithful Belgian co-pilot Renaud Jamoul. “I am extremely proud to represent M-Sport Ford in WRC 2, said the 24-year-old pilot. Especially since this falls only three years after my success at Rallye Jeunes and my first rally.

From now on I will work with M-Sport Ford, a team well known for helping the talents of tomorrow. I sincerely want to succeed, for myself but also for my partners who have supported me from the start. This year, I will discover a lot of events that I already know, and I hope that this experience will help me to fight for the front positions. »

The founder and current Managing Director of M-Sport Ford, Malcolm wilson, points out the successful association between its structure and the French Automobile Sport Federation (FFSA). “We've been working with them closely for three years, and Adrien's progress totally reflects that.

Since his victory at Rallye-Jeunes, he has progressed quickly (almost still behind the wheel of Ford Fiesta), and it's great to see him fully integrated into the team in WRC 2. This is only his second campaign at this level, but I expect him to improve further! »

Adrien Fourmaux had in fact competed in three rounds in WRC 2 in 2019, with the best result being a fourth place in the class reserved for R5s at the tricky Monte-Carlo.
