Kimi Räikkönen returns

Kimi Räikkönen (Citroën C4 WRC), who did not travel to New Zealand (May 5-9) in accordance with the program developed by Red Bull and the Citroën Junior Team at the start of the season, will return to competition in Portugal. The mission will not be easy for the Finn, who will discover a new route that most of his opponents already know. But the World Champion is satisfied to arrive in Portugal after a break which allowed him to look back on his first weeks in the WRC.

« This little break did me a lot of good “, says “Iceman”. “ We were able to analyze our start to the season and focus on certain details such as taking notes and keeping pace with the best. A few test kilometers also allowed me to find my bearings. I know that there is still a lot to learn because the discipline is still very new to me but I feel that we are progressing regularly. »

Despite his growing experience, Kimi Räikkönen knows that he still needs to practice patiently before he can compete with the best. “ I have always said that you have to learn. We must have all the cards in hand before trying to accelerate and go play in the big leagues. It is therefore necessary to gain experience again and again. This will always be the goal of this participation in Portugal. »
