At the Arctic Rally, Katsuta hoped to do better

Si Ott Tänak (Hyundai) or Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) were above the rest during the Arctic Rally, Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) also distinguished himself on site.

Rather comfortable on the snow of Lapland, the Japanese showed some good things, notably good speed. In the end, he completed the second round of the season in a good 6th place, synonymous with a best career result for him.

But truth be told, Takamoto Katsuta was not entirely satisfied and expected to do better during the meeting. “ I'm happy with this weekend, but I wanted to show more and hoped for a better result before the start, he admitted.

I had a lot of fun and was the fastest at some intermediates, but I was a little too careful in some sections where I lost too much time. I felt really confident when the conditions were stable, but I could have done better when there was powder or big ruts.

I really need to focus on that and improve if I want to get on the podium or win rallies. I still have a lot to learn and I am even more motivated than before ».

From now on, the Toyota driver is focusing on the next round in Croatia scheduled for April 22 to 25, where he hopes to enter the Top 5 for the first time in his career.
