The FIA validates a new WRC starting order

The starting order adopted for the 2014 season of WRC is now known. The FIA announced at the end of its World Council that, for each event, the order for the first stage would be established according to the provisional classification of the Drivers' Championship. The order will be reversed in relation to the classification of the event for the following two days. The crews starting again in Rally 2 will start behind the other WRCs.

In addition, manufacturers will no longer be required to have a driver for the entire season but for ten of the 13 rounds on the program. Each event must offer an identical format with a departure ceremony carried out on Thursday and an arrival carried out on Sunday, around noon for the European events. The Power Stage will necessarily be the last special and must offer a minimum route of 10km.

All cars entered in WRC events will now have to wear a distinctive colored sticker on their windshield to identify their category (WRC, WRC2, WRC3 and J-WRC).
