Rally Sweden organizers confident about weather forecast

The fear of seeing the Rally from Sweden canceled due to a very pronounced mild spell currently in Scandinavia could it soar in the coming days? Nothing allows us to confirm this yet, but the weather forecasts indicated by the organization seem rather favorable to avoid seeing the only snow round on the calendar lower its flag.

In a press release published this Wednesday, the organizers expressed their confidence in view of the upcoming weather. “Despite the unseasonably warm weather of late, rally organizers are confident that current forecasts of colder weather ahead will bring icy roads and also snow ahead of the rally. » specifies the said press release.

“We will continuously discuss and consult the FIA and the promoter of the WRC and if the weather develops as expected, we see no problem in the planned progress of the event, comments rally director Glenn Olsson.

The weather is unfortunately one aspect of the rally that we cannot control, but our entire organization is working hard to prepare another great edition of Rally Sweden for competitors and fans. »

Toyota et Hyundai had canceled the tests planned for the coming days. The Korean brand had also announced the replacement of Sébastien Loeb by Craig Breen.
