Meeke manages his lead against Ogier in Mexico

Kris Meeke (Citroën) did not let Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) revenir dans le premier passage de la deuxième étape du Rally from Mexico. The Northern Irishman returns to the service park with a lead of 23 seconds over the Frenchman. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) complète toujours le podium provisoire à bonne distance des deux leaders et dispose de près d’une minute d’avance sur Ott Tänak (M-Sport).

Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) a gagné deux positions en se hissant au 5e rang avec une avance de Juho Hänninen (Toyota). Le Finlandais a indiqué qu’il ne se sentait pas en forme ce matin. Son coéquipier et compatriote Jari-Matti Latvala suit en 7e place après avoir profité d’une sortie de piste de Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) dans l’ES10.

En WRC 2, Éric Camilli (Ford) took the lead for a second ahead of Pontus Tidemand (Skoda). Benito Guerra (Skoda) lost almost two minutes following mechanical problems and found himself behind Elfyn Evans (Ford) who opened the road for the second stage.

The second passage of the second stage will be contested from 21:30 p.m. SS12 will be broadcast live on L'Équipe 21.
