Mikkelsen with a Citroën C3 to develop 2021 Pirelli tires

Pirelli has confirmed that Andreas Mikkelsen will be requisitioned to lead the development of 2021 WRC tires. The Citroën C3, operated by Saintéloc Racing, will be the base car for the runs.

Future manufacturer of World Rally Championship, Pirelli will take an additional step in the development of its 2021 range. The Norwegian, with his teammate Anders Jäger will be lined up on a Citroën C3 WRC, the only car of the 2017 generation which no longer competes in the World Cup after the withdrawal of the firm from the rafters, which will be operated by the Saintéloc Racing as shown by the Saint-Etienne team logo on the front grille of the car.

Driving will begin in mid-July, both on asphalt and on dirt, with Sardinia being chosen as a working base.

This is a priority for any single tire supplier. Andreas is an experienced driver well known for his professionalism and tire feedback. These must demonstrate both performance and reliability in a complete package, which still remains the biggest challenge in rallying. »

Remember that Saintéloc Racing mainly competes in the European Rally Championship. ERC, in parallel with its activity in GT3 / GT4.
