Neuville maintains the advantage in Monte-Carlo

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) conserve une belle avance au Rally Monte-Carlo before the last special of the 3rd stage. After having notably signed the scratch in the first course of the day, the Belgian has a 51 second lead over Sébastien Ogier (Ford) who set the best time in SS11.

The four-time world champion widened the gap on his teammate Ott Tänak distancing it by 39s. The Estonian lost time due to mechanical issues on SS11 with power steering and gearbox issues.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) reste bien installé en 4e position devant Dani Sordo (Hyundai). L’Espagnol a distancé Craig Breen (DS 3) while being more comfortable than the day before on his i20 WRC. Elfyn Evans (Ford) moved up to 7th place by signing two scratches during the day.

Starting again in Rally 2, Kris Meeke (Citroën) lost another almost half an hour due to a connector problem. The Northern Irishman must complete the stage to hope to see the finish of the Monte-Carlo Rally, with Rally 2 not in effect on the final day.

Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) remains firmly in control of WRC 2, occupying 8th place in the general classification, several minutes ahead of Jan Kopecky (Skoda) who suffered several punctures.

The 3rd stage of the Monte-Carlo Rally will end at 15:03 p.m. with the 25,49km Bayons-Bréziers.
