The expected duel between Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Ott Tänak (Ford) in Poland lasted only for a special stage this Sunday morning. Returning to the lead after the first special of the day, Ott Tänak made a mistake in SS21 by hitting a tree with the front of his Fiesta after initial contact with the rear of his car against an embankment.
L’Estonien a perdu plus d’1’44 » sur Thierry Neuville, auteur du scratch dans ce secteur chronométré, avant de finalement renoncer après la spéciale, comme l’a précisé M-Sport.
That's the end of @rajdpolski for @OttTanak, but what a performance! Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but he'll come back stronger! pic.twitter.com/Q4MsSY8ebx

Neuville takes over the leadership rally now 1’03”3 ahead of his teammate Hayden Paddon and seems set for another victory this year. Ott Tänak still remains ranked third for the moment, but his retirement will benefit Sébastien Ogier (Ford).
Le Français va hériter de la troisième marche du podium, et précède Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Teemu Suninen (Ford), Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën), Mads Ostberg (Ford), Elfyn Evans (Ford) suivent au classement devant Juho Hänninen (Toyota), who took advantage of Andreas Mikkelsen's (Citroën) straight shot to return to the top 10.
SS22, second pass through Orzysz, will start at 10:45 a.m., and will be followed live with our live-text.
