Ogier summoned by Citroën management

The criticisms delivered last weekend by Sébastien Ogier against his team and his teammate Sébastien Loeb did not please the management of Citroën. The Gapençais did not appreciate the instructions asking him to no longer attack Loeb, then leader of the event, and deduced that the seven-time world champion had requested that this be stipulated in his renewal contract until 2013 No. 1 driver status.

During this meeting, Sébastien Ogier will take the opportunity to find out the exact terms of Loeb's renewal at Citroën. One thing is certain, the 27-year-old driver will not accept a simple No. 2 role. If this were to be the case, what solutions are then available to him?

Having failed to recruit Loeb, Volkswagen would do well by securing the services of a driver of Ogier's caliber. Last May, during the presentation of the Polo R project in Sardinia, this is what Kris Nissen, the Director of Volkswagen Motorsport, told us: “Our goal is to be world champion in 2015. Where will it be ( Loeb, editor’s note) then? Perhaps it is more appropriate for us to think of Ogier, who is the youngest among the current drivers. » Still, Ogier may not wish to miss out on the 2012 world championship, with the German manufacturer having to make its appearance in WRC than in 2013.

As for Ford, Malcolm Wilson obviously said he was interested. Already last year, the boss of M-Sport had tried to “steal” Ogier from Citroën racing.

Citroën, Ford, VW? From today?s meeting with PSA management will the rest of Sébastien Ogier's career emerge?
