Day of fun on the side of Rally from Kenya this Thursday. While waiting for the first real day of competition in the Safari, the actors of the WRC had an appointment in Nairobi for SS1. On the program, a 4,84 kilometer super special in which the drivers passed two by two and fought for the best time. In this game, it's Sébastien Ogier who was the best in setting the time reference for the special.
Opposed to Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier n’a pas tardé à s’illustrer.
Thierry Neuville or Kalle Rovanperä tried their luck but none were able to beat Sébastien Ogier's time. The first city ranked 2e while the championship leader finished 11”6 after a bit of a scare. The Finn came out of a left turn badly and came close to ending up on the roof of his Yaris. More fear than harm ultimately for the representative of the Japanese firm who settled for the 11e instead.

Please note that this SS1 has no impact on the starting order for this Friday. Despite his 11e time, Kalle Rovanperä will always open the road ahead of Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak. Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier will respectively be 7e and 9e on the list.
