Le Rally Monte-Carlo is one, if not the most dangerous event to win on the World Rally Championship calendar (WRC). Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia (Toyota) know it with seven successes.
Also, their fifth place occupied after the two specials on Thursday January 21 is not likely to worry the French driver too much.. “Tomorrow morning conditions will probably be complicated and of course, there is still a lot to do on this rally. It's not a great start but we'll continue to fight and I'm sure the car will be 100% tomorrow morning and will allow me to give my best."he says.

The wearer of number 1, however, suffered a problempine in this first step, on the side of the brake pedal of his Yaris. “We suddenly had a problem mid-stage with the brakes, the pedal went all the way to the bottom and I had no brakes at all. It was a pretty scary moment, but luckily it was uphill so I was able to pump a few times to slow the car down before the turn.
Of course after that my confidence had totally dropped, I was pumping all the time. On the connection we tried to find something but there were no leaks and no problems from what we could see. Obviously, the result of the 2nd stage was not good either, partly because I was cautious because of the brakes. »
The addition is far from worrying, because it only accuses 16''9 behind the leaders Ott Tänak-Martin Järveoja (Hyundai).
