The penultimate meeting of the 2018 World Rally Championship season (WRC) starts well enough to Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford). Le Français, associé à Julien Ingrassia, set the best time in the shakedown on Thursday morning in Catalonia (Spain).
For Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), a hairpin turned out to be treacherous. The leader of the general classification rolled over at low speed after 500 meters in his second run. “The car turned on two wheels and I tried to save the situation, without success, explains the Belgian.
However, this could be a good omen.. Few years ago (In 2014), we had experienced the same thing in Germany before winning the rally. Fingers crossed it’s the same this weekend.”, he joked.
Et Sébastien Loeb (Citroën), where is he for his third WRC rally of the season? The nine-time world champion achieves the fourth best time, barely a second and a tenth. The Frenchman, however, suffered a scare, in the same place as Thierry Neuville. The C3 WRC was able to land on its wheels.

In WRC2, Petter Solberg hasn't lost his touch. The 2003 world champion rode the fastest in this category behind the wheel of the new Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. His teammate for a weekend Eric Camilli is in second place, four tenths behind.
