Ott Tänak wins easily in Estonia

Ott Tänak did not make any details at the Estonian Rally, with an easy success at the wheel of the Toyota Yaris WRC ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) and Espaekka Lappi (Citroën).

Winner of seven special stages out of nine yesterday during the first stage and solid leader, Ott Tänak (Toyota) a fait encore mieux ce dimanche au Rally of Estonia, by winning all of the six SS on the menu for this final stage of this preparatory event for the Rally of Finland, contested as part of the WRC early August.

Malgré une crevaison dans l’ES11, Tänak s’impose logiquement à l’arrivée du rallye balte avec 1’03″5 d’avance sur Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) et 1’27″1 sur Esapekka Lappi (Citroën), le Finlandais ayant déjanté sans grosse conséquence dans la matinée.

Elfyn Evans (M-Sport Ford) and Craig Breen (Hyundai) complete the top 5, only separated by 8″7 at the finish. Markko Martin finished sixth in his Ford Fiesta WRC just ahead of category winner Oliver Solberg (Volkswagen Polo R5).
