For the first time in the WRC, Hyundai achieved a hat-trick. Obtained in a tense atmosphere due to the use of instructions, this Greek success confirmed the return to the forefront of the brand and of Thierry Neuville, finally victorious in hybrid.

C’est le genre de résultat que personne n’a vu venir. Il y a quelques mois, au Safari ou en Estonie, les Hyundai i20 Hybrid Rally1 peinaient à terminer les rallyes en un seul morceau. Les pilotes avaient de plus en plus de mal à cacher leur lassitude devant l’accumulation des problèmes et les retards en matière de fiabilité. Même Thierry Neuville, usually always able to be positive and engage in a fight, appeared affected by this situation. Ott Tänak had been able to seize two opportunities in Finland and Ypres to position themselves as the last bulwark before the coronation of Kalle Rovanperä. Each time, it ended in a fierce fight with his rivals, but also with his rebellious horse. Funny title but too bad Troy is not in Greece...
