More than 80 entries in the Monte-Carlo Rally

The Automobile Club of Monaco has published the entry list with no less than 84 cars expected at the start of the 2021 Monte-Carlo Rally.

More than 80 entries in the Monte-Carlo Rally

Last December, 100 crews submitted their applications to the Automobile Club de Monaco to participate in the next Rally Monte Carlo. With only 90 places available for around a hundred applications, there were bound to be some disappointed people.

After inspection, the Automobile Club of Monaco finally accepted the applications of 84 crews for the 2021 edition of the Monte-Carlo Rally.

En WRC, ten crews will take the start of Monte-Carlo on January 21. Title holder, Sébastien Ogier sera de la partie au volant de sa Toyota Yaris WRC. Vice-champion en 2020, Elfyn Evans répondra également présent tout comme les deux autres pilotes du constructeur japonais Kalle Rovanperä et Takamoto Katsuta.

Hyundai débarque en France avec trois équipages : Ott Tänak, Dani Sordo and the winner of the last Monte-Carlo Thierry Neuville. Pierre-Louis Loubet will be at the wheel of the fourth i20 WRC with the 2C Competition team.

Teemu Suninen et Gus Greensmith représenteront les intérêts de M-Sport avec la Ford Fiesta WRC.

Note the presence on the French side ofAdrien fourmaux and Yoann Bonato. The first is entered in WRC2 with M-Sport (Ford Fiesta WRC2), the second in WRC3 with Saintéloc Racing (Citroën C3 Rally 2).

Engaged full-time in WRC2, Andreas Mikkelsen will participate in Monte-Carlo 2021. On the Skoda Fabia Rally 2 Evo, the Norwegian will be guided by Ola Fløene.

Big attraction at the start of the year, Oliver Solberg, Petter's son, registered for the first round of the 2021 season with Hyundai. He will drive the i20 Rally 2. Winner of the event last year in WRC2, Mads Østberg has confirmed that he will not be traveling this year.
