Rally – Jonathan Hirschi creates the HRT Rally Team

After starting in car in the 2000s, Swiss driver Jonathan Hirschi also shone in the Eurocup Megane Trophy V6 (vice-champion in 2010 on behalf of TDS Racing), before moving towards the different categories in GT and endurance, including three participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Since 2011, the 28-year-old pilot had started a parallel career in rally, competing in particular in the Swiss Rally Championship. Having renewed the experience on numerous occasions, including at the Rallye de France in 2012 with Saintéloc or at the last Terre de Langres, Hirschi decided to redirect himself towards road events with the creation of his own structure: the HRT Rally Team .

“This new project was really close to my heart and I am happy that it is coming to fruition. Even if I am not going to completely abandon motorsport on the circuit, it was time for me to move on, with new objectives. I have always been passionate about rallying and my various performances over the last three years on different rallies have motivated me even more to take on this new challenge. »
explains the Swiss. It's behind the wheel of the brand new Peugeot 208 T16 R5 that he will race from the Rallye de France-Alsace, from October 3 to 5, co-driven by Vincent Landais.

?The program is not completely defined even though we know that with this new category, all doors are open to us. »
adds Jonathan who will also be entered in the next Rallye du Valais (October 22-25) which will count towards the European Rally Championship ERC.
