Sébastien Loeb confirmed for Rally Turkey

They're back to freelancing. Hyundai confirmed on Tuesday the participation of Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena at Rally of Türkiye, scheduled for September 18 to 20. This participation is part of the contract which binds the two men to Hyundai for the 2019/2020 seasons. After eight stints in 2019 with Hyundai for a podium, the duo will make their second appearance in WRC of the season, after the Monte Carlo Rally where he finished fourth.

The nine-time world champions will race their first Turkish rally in ten years. In 2010, the year of their seventh title, they won by 54 seconds ahead of Petter Solberg and Mirko Hirvonen with the Citroën C4 WRC. Loeb notably had an exceptional final day, winning five of the last six special stages.

The other two Hyundais will be entrusted in September to Thierry Neuville/Nicolas Gilsoul and Ott Tanak/Martin Jarveoja.
