Suninen impresses at home

The vice-champion WRC-2 in 2016 made an impression during the last rally de Finlande. Engagé avec M-Sport dans la Ford Fiesta WRC, Teemu suninen confirmed his good performance at the Polish Rally, which he finished in 6the position. On these lands, the Finn fought for the podium before failing in 4e position.

« Of course it's a shame to have seen the podium slip away in the last stages, but we had to try, explains Suninen. It was our last scheduled appearance in the WRC, so we had to give it a try. Unfortunately I went a little wide and spun at high speed, which eliminated us from the podium race.."

Second at the end of 3e day 49 seconds behind his compatriot Esapekka Lappi, an error in the penultimate special cost him his place on the box.

« We had a very good pace all weekend; honestly more than we expected before the rally, and I'm happy about it. Also a big thank you to the fans and the team for their support which encouraged me to do my best."
