Teemu Suninen shines at Rally Sweden

Teemu Suninen took tenth place in the Rally from Sweden at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R5 registered in RC2 but not admitted in the WRC2 category. The Team Oreca driver finished around fifteen seconds behind Elfyn Evans (Fiesta R5), winner of WRC2, by signing three category scratches, while he was discovering this event. The Finn beat Pontus Tidemand (Fabia R5) by only a tenth at the finish.

“Before the start, we thought that finishing in the top five would be a good result and we finished in second place in RC2, so we are happy”, commented Teemu Suninen. “We regained this position in the last special by signing the scratch and it's obviously good to finish like this. Generally speaking, we posted good times throughout the event, we had good feelings in the car. The car behaved really well and I think we did a good job with the team and our engineer. It's an almost perfect rally for us. »

Teemu Suninen will return to action at the Rally de Portugal held from May 19 to 22 where he will this time be entered in WRC2.
