A new record for Loeb?

Winners of the event in 2005, 2006 and 2008, Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena obviously leave with the favor of the forecasts. Undefeated since Rally of Great Britain 2008, the five-time World Champions in Argentina equaled their record of six consecutive victories, first established between the Rallies of New Zealand and Argentina 2005. A new victory would therefore allow them to improve this formidable record ! “At each start, my motivation to win is as strong. I don’t need to ask myself the slightest question about this,” warns Sébastien Loeb. ?As I don?t like losing, you could say that I?m quite happy at the moment! Each additional victory makes this start to the season a little more exceptional. »

As in all gravel rallies, road sweeping will play a big role in the progress of the race. “This is perhaps even the rally where this parameter will be most important,” explains Sébastien Loeb. “The ground is very hard, but it is covered with a good layer of sand. As there are many stones on the side of the paths, you must nevertheless be very precise in your steering. Between first and tenth on the road, the gaps are enormous. Should we expect a slightly crazy first day in terms of the rankings? »
