WRC – Mads Ostberg stays with Citroën in 2015

Citroën Racing will keep the same crew in WRC for the 2015 season. After Kris Meeke, it is the turn of Mads Ostberg to be confirmed for the 13 rounds alongside his co-driver Jonas Andersson.

The Scandinavian will be present at the Rally Monte-Carlo contested from January 19 to 25, but it will be Sébastien Loeb who will be appointed with Kris Meeke to score points in the Constructors' Championship.

With four podiums under his belt, Mads Ostberg will look to improve his results despite the supremacy of Volkswagen. “I’ve really enjoyed the last few months.”, commented the Norwegian. “I learned a lot playing with this great team and I feel better behind the wheel. I have to adapt my driving with the DS3 WRC. I was able to discover new techniques that help me find grip in certain conditions. I can't wait to test the developments and I want to fight for victories as often as possible, taking advantage of the developments that will be made this winter. »

Yves Matton therefore focused on stability for his team. “At 27, Mads Ostberg is one of the most experienced drivers in the WRC”, added the director of Citroën Racing. “His first season in a DS3 WRC allowed us to see his true potential. Mads performed well, even if he was often unlucky. His 5th place in the Championship and his 108 points scored. »
