WRC – Ogier remains the master at the Monte-Carlo Rally

Volkswagen Motorsport begins the 2016 season with a double in Rally Monte-Carlo, obtaining his 35th success in 40 starts in WRC.

The Norwegian took second place, finishing almost two minutes behind his teammate. The Scandinavian resisted the pressure of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) which completes the podium after encountering transmission problems at the end of the event.

Mads Ostberg (Ford) took fourth place with his new car and his new co-driver Ola Floene. Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) made a promising debut with Abu Dhabi WRT by completing the top five.

Dani Sordo took the lead Ott Tänak (Ford) which suffered with the lack of development of Dmack tires on asphalt.

Elfyn Evans (Fiesta R5) dominated WRC 2 and finished in eighth place in the general classification ahead of Esapekka Lappi (Skoda Fabia R5) who beat Armin Kremer (Fabia R5), second in the category, by less than three seconds. Quentin Gilbert (DS3 R5) completes the WRC 2 podium after losing power in the last stage. Ole Christian Veiby wins in WRC 3.
