During the Rally of Bulgaria which takes place this weekend, an event of the European Championship which must host a round WRC next season, Flavio Gugelmini, the Italian co-driver of Swiss Brian Lavio (Peugeot 207 Super 2000), died after leaving the road.
The accident took place in the seventh special stage of the rally which was consequently stopped. The pilot was taken to hospital as a precaution.
