Le rally of Mexico not being registered this year on any calendar, the local organizers imagined a different rally which would take up the concept of a race between national teams on Mitsubishi group N.
The first edition of the Rally of Nations (July 10/12) will take place in Mexico around Leon. Harri Rovanpera has already agreed to represent Finland, undoubtedly associated with Toni Gardemeister.
Didier Auriol and Brice Tirabassi could be the French drivers while Manfred Stohl and Andreas Aigner would represent Austria. Armin Schwarz plans to select a “young” German team. To be continued…
