The FIA has given its authorization to the organizers of the Rally of Catalonia so that they can use part of a special stage of the event during the shakedown. This will be the first time that the shakedown of the Rally de Catalunya will take place on a road usually reserved for special stages.
Thursday October 1, the competitors will set off on the 4,32 km which mark the start of the Riudecanyes special (SS13 and 16). The rally organizers justified their desire for change by the possibility of reducing costs.
