Dani Sordo late

Citroën driver Dani Sordo started the first special stage of the Rally from Sardinia three minutes late. The Spaniard will receive a thirty-second penalty but will now start in third position on the road, behind Mikko Hirvonen.

This delay is certainly a tactic intended to avoid leading the race in a rally which largely handicaps the front runners on the track. Citroën thus inserts a Ford between its two C4s WRC.
