Kimi Raïkkönen (Citroën C4), who is making his debut with the Citroën Junior Team in the World Rally Championship, fell significantly behind in SS18, finishing more than two minutes behind the time of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Focus ). The Finn may have suffered a puncture but did not wish to comment upon his arrival at the end of the Varmullsasen special. In the general classification, he is now more than 36 minutes from first place, having notably lost a lot of time during the first day, remaining stuck for more than 25 minutes in a wall of snow.
