Petter Solberg (Citroen C4 WRC) consolidates its position as leader in Rally from Mexico. The Norwegian finishes SS2 nine seconds ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Citroen C4 WRC). In the general classification, the 2003 World Champion now has a 14??4 lead over Sébastien Ogier (Citroën C4 WRC), 21??2 over Dani Sordo (Citroën C4 WRC) and 22??9 over Sébastien Loeb. Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Focus WRC) is at 43??2. The dust sweeping off the Mexican roads plays a very big role during this first day.
