Thanks to a second best time since the start, Sébastien Ogier took the lead Rally of New Zealand at the end of SS5. The gaps are still closing at the top of the provisional general classification with Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford, 2nd), Dani Sordo (Citroën, 3rd) and Petter Solberg (Citroën, 4th) grouped in 7”5.
Sébastien Loeb found a Citroën C4 WRC competitive after moving to Whangarei remote support. He sets the second fastest time in the special, 0” behind Ogier.
