Sébastien Loeb achieved the scratch time of the last special of the first day of the Rally of Catalonia. Already the fastest in SS5, the Frenchman did it again in the sixth and final special of the day. The five-time world champion takes 2??4 from Dani Sordo and 9??1 from Mikko Hirvonen.
In the general classification, Dani Sordo is only 1??6 ahead of Sébastien Loeb, while Mikko Hirvonen is more than thirty seconds behind the two Citroën drivers.
