Sébastien Ogier (Citroen C4 WRC) set the fourth fastest time on SS8, the last special stage of the second loop, but retained his leading position at the top of the general classification of Rally from Türkiye. He is 2??8 ahead of Dani Sordo (Citroën C4 WRC) and 9??2 ahead of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Focus WRC), two drivers who will be able to take advantage of their short delay and their position on the road to attack more on Saturday.
Followed by Petter Solberg (Citroën C4 WRC, + 18??3), Sébastien Loeb (Citroën C4 WRC, +25??3) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Citroën C4 WRC, +26??1). There is still one stage to go in the evening in Istanbul, but it is the classification at the end of SS8 which determines the starting order in Saturday's stages. Sébastien Ogier will therefore open the road ahead of Dani Sordo, Mikko Hirvonen, Petter Solberg, Sébastien Loeb and Jari-Matti Latvala.
