Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Focus) goes on the attack again from the first special of the afternoon, during the Rally from Finland. The Ford driver achieved his tenth fastest time of the weekend in SS17, ahead of Dani Sordo (Citroën C4), Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford Focus) and Sébastien Loeb (Citroen C4). In the general classification, Hirvonen is 32??4 ahead of Loeb.
Behind, the duel of the “teammates” continues for third place. Dani Sordo takes four tenths from Jari-Matti Latvala and comes within one second of the third step of the podium.
Seventh, Sébastien Ogier remains on the lookout for sixth place, held by Mads Östberg, for 2??3.
