To enable manufacturers to prepare for the 2010 season with peace of mind, the ACO today unveiled its regulations: Le Mans 2010”. The key words wanted by the ACO seem to be “stability and consultation”.

The objective of the text presented today consists of adjusting the performances between LM P1s equipped with a diesel engine, a racing gasoline engine or a unit coming from a car homologated in LM GT1. Thus the flange of diesel engines has been reduced by 2,1% from 37,9 mm to 37,5 mm while that of gasoline engines goes from 32,5 mm to 33,3 mm, a variation of +5%. The boost pressure of diesel engines is also lowered by 5,8%.

These adjustments aim to guarantee technical equity between the different technologies as well as allow each competitor to be competitive.
