Flagship teams present in LMP1 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, only Aston Martin Racing was slow to reveal its crews. This has been done since last week. Two trios of drivers, including two for whom this will be the first race at the wheel of the Lola B09/60, delight the team boss.

“We have very strong crews again for this year's race, says Georges Howard-Chappell. The team has gained experience with the car this season. We can also count on Darren (Turner, editor's note), who has been with us since the beginnings of Aston Martin Racing at Le Mans. He feels at home, both in the car and on the track. In order to complete our current team, I am delighted to be able to welcome Juan (Barazi, editor’s note) and Sam (Hancock, editor’s note) who will also give us the benefit of all their experience.”

With crews that seem less sharp than last year and cars that have barely evolved, it will be difficult to repeat the feat of the 24 2009 Hours, which saw the car shared by Tomas Enge, Jan Charouz and Stefan Mücke cross the finish line in fourth position, first car with a gasoline engine.
