Loeb attacks & gets in the points

The Frenchman set the scratch time for SS17, a special in which Citroën Junior Team driver Conrad Rautenbach lost more than twelve minutes, allowing Sébastien Loeb to climb to eighth position. The French team?s decision to slow down Rautenbach therefore allows Sébastien Loeb to get into the points, with only a short special stage remaining on the program.
In the general classification, Mikko Hirvonen is almost 18 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala.
