Sébastien Loeb finishes the last special of the Rally of Catalonia, SS18, six tenths behind Dani Sordo and Mikko Hirvonen and concludes the event in the lead. It was Jari-Matti Latvala who set the final scratch time of the weekend, ahead of Sordo and Hirvonen by a tenth. Citroën makes the double with Sordo's second place, which allows Loeb to come back to within one point of Hirvonen in the drivers' standings. The Frenchman will be world champion for a sixth consecutive year if he wins in Wales, during the last event of the season.
