Sébastien Loeb returns to success in WRC, When Rally from Australia. The Citroën driver built his victory during the special stages of this third day of racing, while Mikko Hirvonen and Sébastien Loeb started with the same time at the start of the day. The Frenchman managed to increase his lead over the Finn to more than 18 seconds after SS34.
Author of nine scratch times over the weekend, Sébastien Loeb is ahead of Mikko Hirvonen and Dani Sordo. The latter, who sometimes took the advantage over the Finn, could even have offered the double to Citroën and, at the same time, the lead in the world championship to Loeb. The Frenchman takes two points from his opponent for the world crown and is only one point behind.
Sébastien Ogier finished fourth, well ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala.
