Mikko Hirvonen takes the lead

Thanks to two consecutive best times to start the day, Mikko Hirvonen moved into the lead of the Rally from Finland. The Ford driver is ahead of Petter Solberg, Dani Sordo and Sébastien Loeb after three special stages contested in perfect weather conditions.

For his first participation, Evgeny Novikov “builds” his experience with a first outing in Jukojärvi (SS2). The Russian from the Citroën Junior Team turned left instead of following the road to the right behind a bump. The C4 WRC yellow was able to continue his journey normally five minutes later.
